From errors and mistakes the wise and good learn

Was chatting with one of my former managers in Singapore, and i noticed his tagline was a quote from Plutarch.

“To make no mistakes is not in the power of man; but from their errors and mistakes the wise and good learn wisdom for the future.”

I think the obvious but not mentioned part of the quote is that if one does not learn from the errors and mistakes, one is not a human, but rather, an ostrich with its head in the sand.
