Finally, the wedding fotos...

Sharon and I went back to Singapore for my buddy's wedding, and i just received a note from him that he has gotten the photos from his designated photographers.

Here's just two photos out of the hundreds that were taken.

It was a doubly great occasion as i managed to meet up with another buddy of mine, Ryan, at James' wedding. It's probably more than three years since Ryan and I actually met.

Hard to coordinate visits in Singapore when he's based in Shanghai, China and i'm based in Washington, USA. There had been at least twice where we practically timed our arrivals/departure on the same day, so it was really nice that we finally met.

Thank goodness to the back treatment I've received (and blogged about previously). Otherwise, i would have to excuse myself from this photo-op. Noticed how we've bumped the groom away and have only the bride here? 8)

Thanks to James and Jenny, we had a great time in Singapore. Wishing them a happy and everlasting marriage.

What do you think is the best way to fly from Singapore to Seattle? I will be working in Singapore for a few months and am looking for the best way to get from there to my parents' in Seattle for Christmas. Thanks for any advice you can give me! Erica, Toulouse

Erica,

If you're planning to get tickets from Singapore, you can try Airfares.com.sg. They are very responsive and their prices are competitive too.

In terms of airlines, there's really nothing much that you can choose from. If you have some concerns on budget, go via United or NorthWest. They are "functional" i guess 8). I've been on them for the last 6 years for at least 10 trips either way, so i've tuned out the bad service and focused on the destination. I also like the stopover in Narita, Japan.

Eva Air has a stopover in Taipei. I've only done that once, and i dont think i want to do that again.

If budget is not a concern, try SIA. They probably have a straight flight from Singapore to LA, and a short transit to Sea-tac.

Strangely, China Air lines has a rather expensive itinary to Seattle. Not sure why that's the case. I've never taken it before.

Thanks Jonathan. I'll take a look at the website you mention. The company is paying (hooray!) so maybe SIA will turn out to be the best option.
