power outage in washington state = state of emergency
Last Thursday windstorm has caused more than 1 million people without people. This is equivalent to more than 700,000 households in seattle area. Jon and I are amongst the unfortunate few who do not have power at home.

Things got worse before it get better. The temperature on Friday night was below freezing point. We bundled ourselves to keep warm. We don't know when the power will be back. It may take up eight days according to the power supply company. We thought of going to the emergency shelter instead of sleeping in the cold but we were not sure of location and we are running out of gas. Thus, we decided to stay home. Anyway, no gas station is opened.

On Saturday morning, Jon went to work and discovered that our office building has POWER. we brought our breakfast and lunch to his office and drank coffee. Later, we were told that another has HOT SHOWER! Hooray! I took a long and luxurious shower. It was pure BLISS for me.
