Similar observations
singaporegrrl mirrored my observations on my first visit to Orchard when i went back to Singapore recently.
I was in a total state of shock!
going around on a weekday mid-afternoon and the trains were all full of people, the streets were full of people and my first question was 'where did all of them came from??'
Walking along at a much slower pace than the rest of the folks made me look so out of place (and pace) too.
Oh... i also remembered that i was scared the heck by a few cab drivers along the CTE when they thought they were F1 drivers or something.
A GREAT place to rest amid such a strenous walk along Orchard is the Sun With Moon japanese restaurant on the third level of Wheellock Place. The after-lunch menu is great for chit-chats with friends and families.. yet another great recommendation by my friend!
Just take a look at this desert... you'll never know what it is !
