simple russian greetings
jon and i will be meeting some russian anti-virus researchers this weekend so i thought we could learn a few simple phrases to impress them. i have asked one of my bank customers to teach me russian. yes, simple phrases only.

hi = privet = pronounce as BRI VET

hello = zdrastvuite = pronouce as DRAS TU TIER

how are you = kak dela = pronounce as CART DE LA

thank you = spasibo = pronouce as SPICE SI BO

good bye = do svidaniya = pronouce as DO SI DAN YA

bye = poka = pronouce as PAR KA

coincidentally, one of my co-workers speaks russian. will need her to teach me more phrases.
