Seems like everywhere's going 9.50 for a movie
Just read from Tomorrow.sg that Singapore movie prices are raising to $9.50. There's even an online petition to complain against it.

Coincidentally, my colleagues just complained to me today that the prices of weekend movies here is USD $9.50 each. A family of four would mean that it's easily US $45.00 for a movie.

Why would anyone want to watch the movies then? Might as well buy the DVD when it comes out, usually a few months after the movie finishes its run in the cinemas, or rent them via Netflix.

Just don't watch any movies then. For me, after LOTR, there's no good movies to watch ever again. No point.
