Questions to ponder


Things to think about, perhaps even ask yourself in a 1:1 session with yourself, or your immediate team members.

  1. Tell me about you
  2. Tell me about your opinion of me
  3. What do you think of our team/department/company?
  4. Are we working well together?
  5. Why do we need to work together?
  6. What can each of us do that the others cannot?
  7. What is the strongest point you find in me?
  8. What is the weakes point you find in me?
  9. What can i do to improve?
  10. What's the definition of a job well done?
  11. What do you like most in your job?
  12. What do you dislike most in your job?
  13. What do you think is my working style?
  14. What is your working style?
  15. What do you think is the most difficult thing facing you now?
  16. What are our short term goals?
  17. What are our long term goals?
  18. What's your level of belief in what you do?
  19. How successful are we in reaching those goals?
  20. What are the obstacles that prevent us from reaching those goals?

Additional questions to ask yourself

  1. Is this a learning experience?
  2. What can i get out of this?
  3. Do i blame myself?
  4. Are you second-guesing yourself?
  5. Who are you associating with?
  6. Why aren't you moving forward?
