Green River Killer - A Real Murder Story
The Green River Killing in Seattle took place in early 1982. The psychopath was abused by his mother when he was young. His mother constantly taunt him and he felt the need to prove that he was man enough to do anything. So, as he grew older, he preyed on prostitutes as he wanted to control women and they were easy targets to him, as all they need was money.

After the murders in 1982 and 1983, the police tried in vain to collate the information of the suspects and tips. The information was too massive and they were short of manpower to do data entry. In addition, there is little communication between police in various counties. Much later a task force was formed to find a murderer ,but to no avail.

There was public outcry and media blamed the police for their inefficiencies. No one trusts the police and the task force was taunted by their co-workers as well.

49 women killed and two decades later, the murderer - Gary Ridgway was found in 2001. He admitted to killing 49 women and was sentenced to life imprisonment without parole. The families of the deceased were finally at peace. The dark days were over.

The author's last word was there could be more psychopaths out there and worse than Gary.
