Speak Mandarin
One of our ang moh co-workers has been living in China for over 10 years. He speaks fluent Mandarin even though he is ang moh. I am pure Chinese and my Mandarin sucks! So shameful! I told him we have to communicate in Mandarin because I have not been using the language for a long time.

I never like to speak Mandarin, it's tough for me. I was at a Technical event two weeks ago and met up with some attendees from China. I could not explain my job to them in Mandarin. In short, I cannot hold a conversation in Mandarin. I can understand the language but don't ask me to speak or read it. It's a disaster. So embarrassing!
