Commuting To My New Office
Last week, I moved to my new office. Imagine commuting from Toa Payoh to Changi in Singapore. It is a certainly a long commute from Bellevue to Sammamish. I wake up at 6am every morning so that I will reach office at 7am. With added responsibilities (no pay increase) and longer commute, my easy breezy job became a burden.
I am feel tired and sleepy at work and I have to work overtime to resolve customers' and system issues. Gone are the days where my commute is just 10 to 15 minutes and I will don't have to care too much about work.
Today (Saturday), I took a long nap from 2pm to 6.30pm to recuperate. What a treat!
Jon may not have to commute to Sammamish but I disrupted his sleep during the work week as I wake up early and he complained that I was very noisy while preparing to go to work.
I wonder how long we can take this.
