Why they call it soccer here

There's always this thing about why the rest of the world calls it football while folks here call it Soccer.

On a comment in Joystiq's blog about XBLA Sensible World of Soccer (oh my.... THE best football game ever), it clearly explains why they use soccer:

jimjio: .... ", we call it soccer cause thats what all the proud fathers would yell to there daughters when bored off there asses watching the girls curtsie when they passed back and forth, "Sock Her Dammit, Soccer in da head!""

I can understand it now! haha.
