Strawberry Fields Forever
As mentioned in my previous post, Wee Teck & family have joined the gang here.
Moodyone suggested to bring them to a lavendar farm and a strawberry farm, so there we went.
Wee Teck's wife, Lai Ling, was pretty handy with the flowers, and helped Moodyone to prune a bunch of lavenders that she was planning to bring home. There was also a unique lavender ice cream and sorbret. Not too bad indeed.
The weather was really fine that day, and i think it helped to ease the new relocated family to the area here. It felt almost Singapore-like during that week.
We then moved further up north to a strawberry farm.
You could actually smell the fragrance of fresh strawberries in the air! The kids, and the aduits, all enjoyed the self-picking of the strawberries.
The kids, epsecially, took on a contest to find the biggest of berries haha.
Sharon sneaked a bite of a freshly picked strawberry...
At the end of the day, we got about a total of 12 pounds of strawberries, with the majority for myself and Sharon. Three pails of them... Just take a look at our "bloodied" hands.
Here's a photo of Moodyone taking a photo of some kind of flowers.. not sure what indeed.
Signing off on behalf of Sharon.......
