i love living in washington state
i am not being disloyal to singapore. i love living in washington state. i love the four seasons and the quality of life here.

when i was working in singapore it was always a 50 - 60 hours work week. i didn't enjoy my work but it pays the bills. i'm sure alot of people share the same sentiments.

in washington state, i may not enjoy my present job but i am beginning to understand the work culture and i believe that i will be getting a marketing job very soon.

i am happy living in washington state. it gives me a sense of tranquility which i never felt in singapore. it is not because washington state is an 'angmoh' place. it is because the environment, people, work, culture are so different from singapore.

singaporeans' hobbies are watching movies, eating and shopping. that's my hobby too. but jon and i enjoy the long rides to skajit valley to see tulip festival or any festival which is not founded purely for commerical reasons.

while i hope i will not leave this place soon but i will support jon in his decision and follow him.

I love the States. I've lived here (Portland, OR) for the past 16 years and every day still seems like a vacation. Unfortunately, we will be moving back to Singapore soon (Family commitment). I am just terrified of what I'll be experiencing when I get back.
