discussion gone ugly
it was a discussion gone bad and ugly. we were supposed to discuss the mechanics of the branch incentive promotion. along the way, we talked about the bank's vision. i mentioned that i was disappointed with the ceo's reply in january 05 on his evasive answer on branch expansion in washington state.

R, my boss was concerned and felt that she had not fully communicated the company's vision to the staff. i explained that most staff may not be concerned on the bank's vision and direction but i do, or, at least i do in january 05. i was ready to process the information given and ask critical questions. maybe, the executive committee was not ready/prepared to share the information with the staff. if they are not ready, why organize a 'meet the executive committee' session in january 05. what a load of crap and total waste of my time!

i was not comfortable talking about this for more than 20 minutes. i mentioned to the assistant supervisor whether the executive committee is ready to share the information now or later, i don't care anymore. my 'inquisitive mind' moment has passed.

R, was really concerned. i told her it did not matter what i believe. my job is to do the work at hand and carry out instructions given to me.

R said if i have any questions on the bank's vision, i have to let her know. i really don't care anymore. i am concerned about my pay. just increase my pay and i will be a happy worker.
