Quoting Shakespeare
Perhaps a gross misquote and abuse of Shakespeare's Macbeth,

"it is a tale
Told by an idiot,
full of sound and fury,
Signifying nothing."

The whole dismantling campaign that i saw in Singapore was an experience that was quite unforgettable, what with the initial decision to forsake people, an uncomfortable atmosphere through the whole financial year, and many a friendship broken and respect lost. It was full of sound and fury during the decisive stages.

The amusing thing is that as time progress, more and more of the people forsaken are back, in one capacity or another. What does it all come to for the organization? Practically back to square one in terms of headcount. A whole project to save costs might come to nothing in terms of overall costs for the organization.

My question is, could higher-ups have done something better, did they even try to place the affected ones in other departments and reduce the bitter taste that is in everyone's mouth?

For the returning birdies, i salute you!

I wonder.
